*Cream cheese may be softened in microwave. Blend cream cheese to avoid any “hot spots” before adding to recipe.
Directions:
Place packet of Fruit Dip Mix into large, deep bowl. Add hot water. Mix with fork to blend, then beat with electric mixer on high speed approximately 2 to 3 minutes until light and fluffy. Mixture should form stiff peaks. Add softened cream cheese. Mix cream cheese in by hand until well blended. Fold in drained fruit(s), coconut, and walnuts, if desired. Chill 2 hours before serving.
Directions:
Make Fruit Dip Mix according to directions and chill thoroughly. Bake brownie mix (without nuts) according to the recipe on the box. You will need to bake it in either a round pizza pan or a jelly roll pan for 10 minutes less than what is on the directions due to the pans being so thin. Completely cool the brownie crust and spread with chilled Fruit Dip Mix. Top with sliced bananas, chunk pineapple, and sliced strawberries. (You will need to treat the bananas with Fruit Fresh® or put 3 Tbls. of lemon juice in 1 cup of water and soak the bananas in this for 5 minutes, then drain onto paper towel.) Drizzle with chocolate syrup and sprinkle with either walnuts or pecans.
Ingredients:
- 1 packet Fruit Dip Mix
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 tube of refrigerated cookie dough or crescent roll dough
- fresh cut fruit (apples, grapes, strawberries, bananas, melon, etc.)
Using a small pizza pan or small cookie sheet, make a crust using refrigerated cookie dough, crescent rolls, or make your own sweet crust of some type. Bake; let cool. Make Fruit Dip according to directions. Spread onto cooled crust. Top with fresh cut fruit. May also add shredded coconut and chopped nuts. (If you toss fruit with 1 to 2 Tablespoons of an orange marmalade it will help to keep fruit from turning brown, or use some type of fruit protector, i.e., Fruit Fresh®.)
