All ear wires are surgical steel or surgical steel with a 18k gold overlay. Ear wires are nickel free; as there is no nickel used during the plating process. This is a significant benefit to our metal sensitive customers who can buy our earrings with confidence. They use genuine semi-precious stones and also use glass beads, natural materials, and genuine Austrian crystal to accent their jewelry. Their metals consist of raw brass or copper elements. All of their jewelry is lead free and cadmium free. The gold tone finish is a tarnish resistant 18k gold over brass, the silver tone finish is a tarnish resistant rhodium over brass, and the copper finish is a rose gold over brass. All jewelry is soldered together, never glued. This creates a slight variation in every piece, which gives the ambiance of wearable art. Once you have received 5 stickers on your card, you write down 3 style choices that you would like as a free gift. The style numbers are found on the back of each displayed jewelry card and some features designs can be found online at with their style number listed at silverforest.com. The style number will begin with the prefix E-, NE-, PP-, or P- followed by a 4 digit number and possibly a letter. This is the number that you will need to write as your style choices. Also clearly print your return mailing address and email address on the card. Then you mail the card to Silver Forest at the address on the card and they will send you one of your choices free as a gift from Silver Forest!
Caring for your Silver Forest jewelry:
Caring for your Silver Forest product is simple. We recommend soapy water and a clean, chemical free soft cloth be used on our plated (shiny) pieces-this includes all of the Spirit line. The metals with darker stain (antiqued) and pieces with color have been treated with a clear lacquer finish that should prevent tarnishing. You should not "clean" these pieces as it may remove the clear coat protection. Further, you should avoid direct application of hair products or chemically treated water as it may also diminish the protection that has been applied.
Repair and replacement:
Silver Forest stands behind their craftmanship. They have a program that has been in place since they began over 30 years ago.
